If you use the contact form, you submit your name, phone number, and email address. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with third parties or added to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
Automatically collected information
Like most websites, our server logs collect standard access data including your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and the pages you visit. This information is used for aggregate traffic analysis and site security monitoring. It is not linked to personally identifiable information.
Cookies
This site uses a single functional cookie to remember your cookie consent preference (stored in your browser's localStorage). This is not a tracking cookie and does not send any data to a third-party server.
If you reject cookies, this preference is also stored locally so the consent banner does not reappear. No third-party analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics) are loaded on this site.

Articles on this site link to external sources including government websites (NRCan, provincial utilities) and standards organisations. Those sites operate under their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months for the purpose of responding to follow-up inquiries, then deleted. Server access logs are retained for 90 days.
